I live out of a suitcase, wear a lot of black, have memberships at most major hotel chains, and use phrases like 'value proposition' un-ironically.

Feeling a bit like I've come full circle today. I just started my new project and it's at the place where I worked for two weeks and then quit to join the company I'm currently with. Now it's a large organization and I'm working with a completely different department, but in a bizarre twist of fate the project space we will be occupying for the next year or so is right across the hall from the office I used to work in. I'll keep you posted on how that goes...

I went to Chicago this week for HR training in preparation for my new project that starts this week. The instructor was great and she was kind enough to go over the Canadian functionality with me even though it was a US course. Monday and Tuesday night were spent working, and then Wednesday I got to go out with my friend Pat who I had not seen in 6 years! He's been in Chicago going to school and now works there. It was really great to catch up, and it always amazes me when I see friends that I haven't seen in a while how little has changed about who we are, despite all the time that has passed. Sadly I forgot my camera at home (I always forget to pack something!) so I didn't get to take any pictures of the city, or Air Force One when it landed at O'Hare.
