So I went for lunch with some of the clients today and they took me to "chicken burger/chicken little" in Bedford. While there the discussion turned to the chicken statue on top of the restaurant that is rumored to be the largest chicken in North America or possibly the world...

The following email chain ensued.... once again I have been out punned by a client. I hang my head in shame.

From me:

Well I couldn't resist and had to goggle it...

The world's largest chicken statue is in Bourg-en-Bressse France

Apparently the largest chicken-like object resides in Marietta Georgia, it's a chicken shaped restaurant called "Big Chicken"

Client Response:

Sorry but the Marietta chicken in my opinion is a fake chicken… a rouse !

Granted it may be done in an abstract chicken “style” but it is far from being “a chicken”, so I cry … FOUL !

Please consider instead….. the 13 foot tall World’s largest Prairie chicken in Rothsey MN

Although I think it’s chicken-ness cannot be disputed, I personally think it is outclassed by the Pelican-ness that lives 11 miles away in Pelican Rapids MN and stands over 15 feet tall…

Now, it’s too late to not want to go off on a tangent… but I am jealous of the numbers of things that Minnesota claims for the world’s largest: (but what would you expect in the land of Paul Bunyon)

World’s Largest
Adirondack Chair, St. Paul World’s
Largest Snowman , North St. Paul
World’s Largest Polar Bear , White Bear Lake
World’s Largest Talking Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox , and Last Chance Visit to a closing Roadside Attraction, Paul Bunyan Amusement Center , Brainerd
World’s Largest Art Tractor , New York Mills
World’s Largest Otter , Fergus Falls
World’s Largest Crow , Belgrade
World’s Largest Pelican , Pelican Rapids
World’s Largest Booming Prairie Chicken , Rothsay
World’s Largest Ball of Twine , Darwin

You know that expression when it rains it pours? It has never felt more true than these past few weeks. I seem to have so much going on right now that I'm not even sure where to start or what to think about!

Saw this posted in my client's staff kitchen today:

Salmon Day: The experience of spending an entire day swimming upstream only to get screwed and die in the end.

Sounds like the author must have worked with queries...
